Within the European Mobility Week, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 a panel discussion on sustainable mobility and cyclotourism was held at the Koprivnica Youth Center. The debate was attended by representatives of the European Parliament Davor Škrlec (Croatia) and Michael Cramer (Germany). The panel discussion was named "City of the Bicycle".
When talking about cycling, Koprivnica is definitely the biggest brand in this country, considering that we are famous for being a bicycle town. We are also known by our pedestrian bicycle trails - there are 75 kilometers of them in the city. Koprivnica is therefore called the Croatian capital of cycling.
Mr. Michael Cramer is the initiator of two cycling projects that link sustainable tourism with European history and culture. He was talking about this at a panel held under the sponsorship of the Office of Mayor Mišel Jakšić. Mr. Kramer also presented his book titled "Iron Curtain Trail, from Hof to Szeged" whose main goal is to live, breathe and experience history in its purest form.
